Injecting peptides is simple, quick, and relatively painless. After your first attempt, you’ll find it becomes second nature. Most people report feeling little to no discomfort during the injection. Since this method targets the fat layer just beneath the skin (subcutaneous tissue), the process is low-risk and ideal for self-administration.
Step 1:
Gather Supplies and Prepare
Everything you need is included in your package:
Easy Touch syringe with a pre-attached needle (29-31 gauge, ½ inch).
Alcohol swabs.
Your reconstituted peptide vial.
Wash your hands thoroughly and clean the rubber top of the peptide vial with an alcohol swab to ensure sterility.
Step 2:
Draw 50 Units of Peptide
Remove the needle cap.
Pull back the syringe plunger to draw air equal to 50 units (0.5 mL).
Insert the needle into the peptide vial and press the plunger to push the air in.
Turn the vial upside down and slowly draw 50 units of peptide into the syringe.
Check for air bubbles and gently tap the syringe to move any bubbles to the top. Push the plunger slightly to expel the air.
Step 3:
Select the Injection Site
Common subcutaneous injection sites include:
The abdomen (2 inches away from the belly button).
The thigh (upper outer area)
The back of the upper arm.
Note: Rotate injection sites to avoid irritation or scarring.
Step 4:
Clean the Injection Site
Use an alcohol swab to clean the injection area. Allow it to dry completely to minimize irritation.
Step 5:
Perform the Injection
Pinch a small fold of skin at the cleaned injection site.
Insert the needle at a 45-degree angle (or 90 degrees if using a very short needle) into the pinched skin.
Slowly press the plunger to inject the peptide.
Remove the needle and release the pinched skin.
Step 6:
Cap and Dispose of the Needle
Place the cap securely back onto the needle.
Dispose of the capped needle and syringe in your household trash.
Step 7:
Monitor the Injection Site
Check for redness, swelling, or irritation. Mild tenderness is normal, but report any severe reactions to your provider.
With practice, this process will take just a couple of minutes. Since you’re injecting into the fat layer of your skin, the risks are minimal, making it a safe and convenient way to use your peptides.
